Upon your arrival at Errachidia airport, an expert driver-guide from Moroccan Trips will warmly welcome you and accompany you on your journey toward Merzouga. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll have two options for today:
➡ Option 1 (Arrival from Marrakech – Morning or Early Afternoon):
If your flight lands in the morning or early afternoon, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive with stops along the way, including the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and panoramic views. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga, where your camel caravan will be waiting. Embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, admire a spectacular desert sunset, and arrive at your luxurious Sahara camp. Here, you’ll be welcomed with traditional hospitality and spend the night under the starry desert sky.
➡ Option 2 (Arrival from Casablanca – Midnight):
If your flight from Casablanca arrives around midnight, you’ll be transferred directly to Merzouga for a comfortable overnight stay in a desert hotel. This ensures you can rest well after your journey and wake up refreshed, ready to begin your Sahara adventure the next morning.
Start your day with a stunning sunrise over the golden Sahara dunes, a moment that truly captures the desert’s magic. After breakfast at the camp, your driver will take you on a 4-hour desert adventure. Visit a nomadic family living in traditional tents and share tea while learning about their simple, resilient lifestyle. Continue to the M’ifis mines, once rich in minerals, then on to Khamlia Village to enjoy the spiritual music of the Gnawa people. For lunch, enjoy a delicious homemade Berber pizza. End with a peaceful walk in a quiet desert oasis before heading to your hotel to relax and enjoy the fresh desert air.
Enjoy your breakfast in Merzouga, then leave the golden dunes. Today first point of interest will be the stunning beautiful Todgha Gorges, a series of limestone river canyons flanked by high cliffs that in places reach up to 300 meters. Walk down into the gorge and admire its natural beauty, along with the rock climbers scaling its steep cliffs. Later we continue driving on the way of Thousand Kasbah to reach Ouarzazate often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” This small town is famous for its film studios and desert-like landscapes featured in productions such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones and many others.
Nearby lies the ancient ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the best-preserved fortified villages in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its narrow alleys and mudbrick towers perched on a hill above a dry riverbed, it’s a cinematic marvel that seems frozen in time. After a short visit, drive over the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass 2,200 meters high crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains. In the late afternoon we reach Marrakech, where we will directly transfer you to your Riad, hotel, or Airport. End of the 3 Days Desert tour from Errachidia to Marrakech.

My 3-day tour from Errachidia to Marrakech with Moroccan Trips was beyond expectations. Hassan, our driver and guide, made the journey smooth, fun, and full of learning. From the camel trek in Merzouga to watching the sunrise over the dunes, every moment was unforgettable. The night in the luxury desert camp was magical with music, great food, and a sky full of stars. Hassan shared so much about Moroccan culture and history, and always made sure we were comfortable. I can’t recommend this trip enough; it’s the perfect way to experience Morocco’s desert and landscapes in a short time.
Our tour with Bihi from Moroccan Trips was absolutely amazing. From the moment he picked us up at Errachidia airport, he was welcoming, professional, and very friendly. The journey through Ziz Valley and Todra Gorge was breathtaking, and the desert experience in Merzouga was a dream come true. Riding camels and sleeping in the Sahara camp was the highlight, but the drive across the High Atlas to Marrakech was just as memorable. Bihi’s knowledge, patience, and kindness made the trip stress-free and enjoyable. I highly recommend this company and Bihi for anyone visiting Morocco!
